I was born and raised in the Netherlands. I obtained a B.S. in Nursing in the
Netherlands following attending three years of business school. For the first thirteen years of my
professional career, I was a Medical Technician in Acute Cardiac Care in the
Netherlands with a focus on installing pacemakers and inserting catheters,
which enabled me to develop my technical skills. In addition to my work in the
hospital, I was a Swimming instructor for many years teaching people of all
ages (5+,14+ and 50+).
After moving to San Francisco in 2005, I began working on a
certificate in Web Design and Programming at City College in San Francisco.
While attending school I immediately started working independently for
non-profits to gain more experience. In January of 2008 I started as a QA
Engineer in a team of two at a software development startup where I have been
able to execute all of the assets of the QA process. I thrive in a dynamic
environment as well as an established one. I have worked for a startup of 20
and have experience in a company of a 1000 employees.
